Hello Earth Day!!!
I was trying to think of an earth friendly sewing tutorial to share over at Momtastic and came up with the idea to turn re-usable shopping bags into little zipper pouches. I found one of my Lululemon shopping bags and added a contrast zipper. I just love how the pouch turned out. The inspirational messages on the bag are so awesome and give it that extra special touch.
This is a great sewing project for a beginner to take on. Want to learn how to sew a zipper into a pouch? This DIY is for you! The re-usable shopping bag seams won’t fray, so you don’t need to add a lining to this pouch. Nice, right? Head on over to the Momtastic blog to see my full tutorial.

That is the most concise, well-illustrated tutorial I have ever seen! I am an experienced seamstress, and I appreciated the exact instructions and simple language which even a novice could follow. I love the ink lines on the fabric, and the photos are fantastic. Kuddos!
