I recently finished a nesting basket sewing workshop at my local quilting/sewing store “Keep Me In Stitches”. Even though I studied design and have been sewing for years, I love taking classes. It is a great way to meet new people and learn new techniques. For a new mom, it’s also a nice evening out doing something I LOVE!
Truthfully, I only finished 1 of the 2 baskets.. Ugh. No nesting baskets in our house. When I got home, I placed the basket on our coffee table. My 13 month old grabbed it, put his toys in it and started dragging it around. He liked it! The sides are soft and collapsible, so it is a great “toy” to play with.
Materials we used:
- Ultra Firm Stabilizer for the outside – Pellon Peltex 71F single sided fusible
- Lightweight batting for the lining and handles
- 3 Contrasting fabrics for outside, lining and handles
Unfortunately, we weren’t provided additional information or who the author of the pattern was. However, the Noodlehead blog makes really cute square baskets – check it out here.
Have a great day!
Super cute!! Cute baby as well 🙂
