Today is the first month for my sharing a project as part of the kraft-tex Ambassador program. I was so happy to have stumbled upon kraft-tex a few months ago and even more excited to become an ambassador.
Every month through the end of the year, I will be sharing a project made out of kraft-tex fabric. The project will also be made from that month’s “color”. For June – the color is Saffron. Hello yellow!
I had a blast figuring out this wonderful fabric. And so far, I am in love. Sewing with kraft-tex is easy – no pins, no pressing, no right or wrong side and no worrying about fraying edges! Just sew and go.
C&T Publishing generously gave me the book “Sew Kraft-tex Bags” and I knew right away I wanted to make the Chloe bag.
Isn’t the saffron color gorgeous? For my project, I also used the following colors from the designer collection – Linen, Denim and Sapphire.
I cut a bunch of strips with my rotary cutter, stitched them together and then followed the directions for the pattern. However, I made a few adjustments to the Chloe pattern – First I sized down the pattern to 80% and decided to forgo the straps. Now it is a pouch. Fun, right?
I’m looking toward to next month! The color for July is Crimson. Hmmm What to make.
Happy Sewing.
