I love the Retreat Bag from Emmaline bags. I made this a year ago and still love.
My family recently went on vacation to Canada and I needed a camera bag. We were packing light and I didn’t want to bring the big, bulky [and ugly] bag that came in the box. I pulled out my retreat bag, plopped in my Canon and it fit perfectly.
Even better? The retreat bag is padded, so my camera was safe and secure inside.
The bag comes in 2 sizes – small and large. The pattern is a free PDF and you purchase the hardware. Make sure you read the directions and choose the correct hardware size, as there are 2 available. Why do I say this? Because I originally bought the wrong size. I had already sewn the bag and was waiting for the hardware arrive. Much to my dismay, I had to go back and get the smaller size..
Everything about this bag is awesome. The zip top is awesome and you can jam alot inside.
The instructions are easy to read. I was wondering how the metal hardware would work and whether I would get to the end of the pattern and be disappointed. But the hardware slipped right in and the finished product looks professional.
If you are looking for something to sew – I say go for it!
