Bella Solids Skillbuilder Month 10

And that’s a wrap… We made it to November. Can you believe it has been 10 months we have been sewing along together??

I had a blast sewing the blocks and am super close to finishing my quilt. My 5 year old son has claimed it for himself, so I have to get my butt in gear and finish it.

What was your favorite part of the Quilt Long..? My favorite blocks along the way:

• HST and quarter square triangle block
• courthouse steps
• flying geese
• pineapple block
• Each block tested me in different ways. Sometimes it was having patience, other times I had to re-sew a block a few times and then I would have pressing issues and not like how it turned out. I am a bit of a perfectionist, so some days I had to just let things go. These last 10 months I learned a lot about quilting and also a bunch about myself!

My favorite Creative Grids rulers:

• The Lazy Angle
• The Pineapple Trim tool
• The rulers we used were new to me. I love testing each one out and the Lazy Angle will probably be the one I use over and over and over again.
