Scrappy Project Planner Quilt Along

in Quilting on 03/02/17

Today starts off the Scrappy Project Planner Sew Along by the Fat Quarter Shop.

Have you seen Lori Holt’s Scrappy Project Planner? I’ve been wanting a sewing planner and I just love this little book.

Scrappy Project Planner HaberdasheryFun

The Scrappy Project Planner is by by Lori Holt of the blog Bee In My Bonnet.  Anything and everything that Lori comes up with is golden to me. Not only are her quilt blocks fun and quirky, but I find her directions super easy to follow.

The planner is perfect for listing your projects, attaching swatches and making lists. Plus there are six scrappy patterns at the back of the planner. Lori gives directions for making a single 12.5″ x 12.5″ block and the entire quilt. I love that she gives options. I don’t sew a lot of quilts, but like the practice of sewing new blocks in my spare time.

Be sure to follow along – over the next month a bunch of bloggers will be showcasing the six blocks and their projects. I chose the “Scrap-Apple” block.  I am a recovering perfectionist.. In my past life I liked things neat and tidy, so mixing and matching scraps was out of my comfort zone. What a fun process – I love the end result and color combos actually work!! Head over to the Jolly Jabber for the full list of blogger and additional details.

    Hi Marni,

Do you have to have the planner in order to get the pattern?

      Hi Janet,

Yes, I believe so. She has 6 quilts at the back of the planner and this is one of them. The planner is $39.95 over at the Fat Quarter Shop. You could try googling scrap apple quilt and or block and see what comes up.. But I have seen anything outside the planner. Hope this helps – Marni
