We’ve been on a much needed vacation. When we go back to Canada, I always visit my local Fabricland. I love that store. I’m not sure why I insist on going there, but I think it’s for nostalgic reasons… It reminds me of when I was first starting to sew and wanted to study fashion design at University. Back then I knew nothing about design, pattern drafting or even sewing and it all seemed like such a big goal and world.. Quite a few years have gone by and I guess I can now say that I have some experience under my belt.
I didn’t need anything, but convinced myself I should buy something. So I picked up a few yards of a super, super soft light blue polka dot fabric. It wasn’t the most unusual fabric, but it had such a gorgeous hand that I had to buy it. I also bought orange and blue velcro… Who doesn’t love and need colored velcro??! Looking back, these seem like such random purchases. Oh well, I’ve stashed them away and the possibilities are endless. I’m sure during a midnight sewing binge they will come in handy.
So that’s it. Today’s post is short and sweet. I’m working on a long overdue Halloween project. Truthfully, it is driving me a little crazy. I hope to get it finished this weekend, so I can post it before the ghost and goblin season ends.. I also have some fun news to share, so make sure to check back in.
Until then, have a great weekend and happy sewing!

I love Fabricland too! They have 50% off sales pretty often, and you can even get $50 scissors for half off. My super sharp scissors make me very happy.
