Hello October! This is the last block for the Bella Solids Quilt Along.. I can’t believe that we started last February and have been sewing together for 9 months.. I have had a blast and loved sewing the blocks each month.
I loved using the Lazy Angle ruler this month. Have you tried it? Aside from making this block, there are so many unique blocks you can make. There are two step blocks to four step blocks and I can’t wait to try out a few more. The insert that comes with the ruler shows all the options.
My favorite blocks in the quilt a long have been – HST and quarter square triangle block, courthouse steps, flying geese and pineapple block. Each one tested me and I learned something new. I especially loved trying out the rulers.
You will make 2 blocks this month and will need the following supplies:
- 3 Bella Cotton Solids fabric colors, plus white
- Rotary cutter, ruler and quilting mat
- Creative Grids Rulers – Lazy Angle
- Iron and ironing board
- Sewing machine and supplies
Head over to the Jolly Jabber for the block pattern.
Need inspiration? Need help? The Fat Quarter shop has a YouTube channel and a tutorial on the block. You can also head over to the Jolly Jabber to see the list of quilters on the tour.
