Today is the first month for my sharing a project as part of the kraft-tex Ambassador program. I was so happy to have stumbled upon kraft-tex a few months ago and even more excited to become an ambassador. Every month through the end of the year, I will be sharing a project made out of kraft-tex fabric. The project will… View Post

Make A Fabric Photo Book

in Baby, DIY Projects on 17/05/20

I first posted this tutorial in 2013. My son was 1 -1/2 years old and we were living in Tampa. I would find him with our pictures in his hands, pointing and saying “Da-Da”!! I soon learned to shuffle after him putting the frames up for safety and eventually I just put them away. Like most toddlers, he loved looking… View Post

Want to make custom designs with your kids artwork? I was recently contacted by Sticker You about trying some of their products. The Retreat Bag Pattern Review

in Bags and Pouches on 01/08/19

I love the Retreat Bag from Emmaline bags. I made this a year ago and still love. My family recently went on vacation to Canada and I needed a camera bag. We were packing light and I didn’t want to bring the big, bulky [and ugly] bag that came in the box. I pulled out my retreat bag, plopped in… View Post

Sew Extra Large Fabric Bins

in Bags and Pouches, DIY Projects on 06/09/18

I am addicted to making storage bins. How about you? My friend Carla asked me to make extra large fabric bins to store her son’s toys. The caveat – she wanted the fabric to be fun and modern, as she planned on leaving the bins around the house. We found the fabric on Premier Prints. I love their entire denim… View Post

If you have ever thought you would like to learn how to block print… I have a course for you. It is called Block Printing Made Easy. It is all about the basics - working with simple shapes, design prompts and getting creative on paper and fabric.

This is an online course and starts on Monday, May 30. There are 3 modules with videos and also included in the course are 3 live zoom workshops. The videos are self paced, so the good news is you can cruise through them or take all the time you need.

The course is $97 USD.

See the link in my profile for additional details on the course( breakdown on each module) and to also access to my blog post.

The circle shape is next. I’m excited to work with no corners and see what will unfold.

Who knew the triangle shape could be so much fun? I have had a blast the last playing around with it - both dissecting the shape and putting it back together.

Which one is your favorite?

I can’t believe I am saying this, but Im ready to move on to a new shape. One that is more soft and organic. Next up, the circle!
